Walnut Hills Campground & RV Park
Address: 484 Walnut Hills Road,Staunton,VA 24401
http://www.walnuthillscampground.com/
Tel: 540-337-3920
Location Description: Nestled between the Blue Ridge and Appalachian mountain ranges, the campground occupies a former walnut plantation, its main office housed in a 230-year-old former stable. Its 125 RV sites and 11 cabins and lodges are just a 10-minute drive from historic Staunton, home to one of the largest concentrations of Victorian architecture in any small U.S. city. (Indeed, Staunton was ranked 10th in Smithsonian magazine's list of "20 best small towns in America," which described it as "a Shenandoah mix of Confederate relics and Elizabethan theater.") Readily accessible from all parts of Virginia because of its proximity to I-81 and I-64, the campground is in an area rich in American history, natural beauty and cultural resources--and is itself a vacation destination, with a fishing lake, swimming pool, playground and game room, large dog park and all RV-related amenities.
